ITC Mementos Ekaaya, designed by Architect Dharam Patel of Art & Architecture Associates, received the Winner recognition at the ACES of Space Awards 2023 held in Mumbai. The award celebrates excellence in architecture and design, recognizing projects that demonstrate innovation, contextual sensitivity, and outstanding spatial experiences.
Nestled within the dramatic terrain of the Aravalli Mountains near Eklingji, Udaipur, the luxury resort is thoughtfully integrated into the natural contours of the landscape. The design carefully blends architecture, landscape, and water features to create a tranquil hospitality environment surrounded by dense forest and panoramic mountain views.
The resort planning incorporates luxury villas, event lawns, landscaped pathways, water bodies, and recreational spaces, creating a self-contained destination that offers both privacy and immersive natural experiences. The landscape design enhances the architectural composition through meandering gardens, cobbled pathways, and avenues of native trees, allowing guests to experience the site as a sequence of curated outdoor spaces.
Key amenities include a lagoon-style main pool, banquet lawns for destination weddings, spa facilities, and villa clusters, all carefully positioned to respond to the natural topography of the Aravalli hills. The project emphasizes a seamless relationship between built form and nature, ensuring that the architecture complements the surrounding environment rather than dominating it.
Receiving the ACES of Space Awards 2023 highlights the project as a significant example of luxury resort architecture in India, demonstrating how thoughtful planning and landscape integration can create a memorable hospitality experience rooted in its natural setting.
