Concept and Design Inspiration
The design of Kebabs & Kurries draws inspiration from Indo-Persian architectural traditions, translating their richness into a contemporary hospitality setting. The concept revolves around creating a dining environment that reflects the depth, warmth, and cultural richness of Indian cuisine.
Rather than simply recreating historical elements, the design interprets them through refined materials, lighting, and spatial composition. This approach allows the restaurant to maintain authenticity while offering a modern and luxurious dining experience.
Entrance and Spatial Experience
The arrival experience is defined by a Persian-style arched gateway, setting the tone for the restaurant’s architectural identity. This grand entrance establishes a sense of anticipation and introduces guests to the cultural narrative embedded within the space.
Inside, the restaurant balances traditional Indian design elements with contemporary detailing. The spatial experience is carefully choreographed to feel both intimate and expansive, ensuring comfort while maintaining a sense of grandeur.
Interior Design and Atmosphere
The interiors are characterised by a warm and inviting ambience created through soft golden lighting and rich material finishes. The lighting design plays a key role in enhancing the dining experience, creating an atmosphere that is both elegant and intimate.
Walls are adorned with traditional artwork and decorative elements that reflect cultural narratives, while brass accents, mirror stonework, and golden glass panels add layers of texture and visual richness.
The combination of these elements creates a space that feels luxurious yet grounded in tradition.
Open Kitchen Experience
A defining feature of the restaurant is its open kitchen concept, which allows guests to witness the culinary process firsthand. This interactive element enhances the dining experience by creating a direct connection between chefs and diners.
The cooking areas are framed by intricately carved windows, referencing traditional craftsmanship and adding a theatrical quality to the space. This design approach transforms the kitchen into a focal point rather than a hidden service area.
Material Palette and Detailing
The material palette reflects a balance between luxury and authenticity. Materials such as wood, marble, silk, and metal detailing are used to create a layered and refined interior environment.
A base palette of beige and white tones provides a calm backdrop, while warm metallic accents introduce richness and depth. This combination ensures that the interiors remain elegant without becoming overwhelming.
Furniture and finishes are carefully selected to align with the overall design language, enhancing both comfort and visual continuity.
Outdoor Dining and Landscape Integration
The restaurant extends beyond its interiors to include outdoor dining spaces overlooking the infinity pool. This connection with the landscape creates a serene and relaxing dining environment, especially during the evening hours.
Landscaped surroundings, combined with subtle lantern lighting, enhance the ambience and provide a tranquil setting that complements the indoor experience.
The integration of indoor and outdoor spaces allows guests to experience the natural beauty of the site alongside the architectural design.
